M. Peter Sur, D.M.D., M.D.
Dr. Sur was born in South Korea and raised in Toronto, Canada. He attended Emory University for his undergraduate studies in Biology and Economics. He continued his studies at University of Pennsylvania where he earned his dental degree (DMD) in 2013. Upon completing dental training, he then entered Weill Cornell Medical College where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Dr. Sur completed his six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center where he gained extensive training in full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also completed an internship in General Surgery, which included rotations in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Surgeries in Trauma and Critical Care.
Dr. Sur is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Medical Association, the New York State Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Outside of his surgical practice, Dr. Sur enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, running and spending time with his family and friends.
