A. Basit Karim, D.D.S.
Dr. Karim grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. He graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Following his undergraduate education, he was accepted into the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and received a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2010.
Following a year in general residency, Dr. Karim decided he wanted to specialize in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He went on to complete two separate one year oral and maxillofacial surgery internships, first at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and second at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York, NY. He stayed an additional four years at the Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital System for his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency. In 2017, Dr. Karim completed his training, moved to Long Island, and began practicing here in Massapequa.
Dr. Karim is board certified and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, New York State Dental Association, and Nassau County Dental Society
Dr. Karim is dedicated to practicing oral surgery and treating his patients with utmost care and respect. When not caring for patients, Dr. Karim enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and playing squash and tennis.
